May National Clean-Up Campaign Day

On Friday 3 May 2019, Chegutu Municipality carried out its 4th monthly National Clean-up campaign. The event was led by the Minister for Mashonaland West Provincial Affairs Hon. Mary Mliswa Chikoka, who was accompanied by the Minister of justice legal Parliamentary Affairs Hon. Ziyambi Ziyambi, as well as Members of the House of Assembly for Chegutu East and Chegutu West, namely Hon. Webster Shamu and Hon. Dexter Nduna, respectively. 

Acquisition of a Brand New CAT Steel Vibratory Roller

Chegutu Municipality procured a brand new CAT self-propelled Steel Vibratory Roller to be used for compaction of roads. The roller was delivered on the 17th  April 2019. The new piece of equipment comes at an opportune time as Council rolls-out a roads construction and rehabilitation programme within the residential suburbs.

April Monthly Clean-Up-Campaign

Chegutu Municipality conducted the 3rd Monthly Clean-up campaign on 5 April 2019. This involved cleaning the surroundings of all Municipal  Stations and Service Centres dotted around the Municipal area.

2019 Budget Approval

Main budget approvedThe 2019 annual budget for Chegutu Municipality has been approved by the Minister of Local Government, Public Works and National Housing, paving way for implementation of same.

Service Level Benchmarking (SLB) Peer Review Exercise

Chegutu Municipality hosted an SLB peer review team from the 28th-29th March 2019. The team comprised senior officials from other cities and municipalities, officials from the Ministries of Local Government, Public Works and the Urban Councils Association of Zimbabwe (UCAZ).

March 2019 Monthly Clean-up Campaign

Chegutu Municipality conducted the 2nd Monthly Clean-up campaign on 1 March 2019. This involved cleaning the surroundings of all Municipal  Stations and Service Centres dotted around the Municipal area.
